The Los Angeles riots of were sparked on April 29, 1992. Thousand of people in Los Angeles area commenced to a riot over six days following the verdict to the Rodney King Beating. Widespread looting, assault, arson and occasional murder occurred, many gang-motivated or perpetrated. In all, 53 people died during the riots.
It was a major impact not just in Los Angeles but our society. So feel we have to touch this part of history in our collection.
